How We Helped Ledn Successfully Launch Into LATAM

The Challenge

Ledn had received their Series B and wanted to begin scaling their user acquisition. They were seeing strong numbers of users signing up all across LATAM, but they wanted help in deciding which countries to focus their marketing efforts on and how to enter these markets. 

They needed support from a partner with experience in the fintech/crypto space that believed in research and data as much as they did.

The Solution

Launching a crypto lending platform into new markets requires expertise in fintech, crypto and market entry tactics - our team was ready to roll up their sleeves.

Existing marketing activity consisted of affiliate relationships across LATAM - looking at their user data, we could see distinct sets of users signing up from a handful of countries - but where should we place our bets? 

We researched the cost of media (including online, social channels, outdoor and TV), the regulatory and competitive landscape, market size and crypto adoption levels in each of these countries and came up with a short list of target locations. In parallel, we identified target audiences, use cases and value propositions for each of these territories.

Finally, to add context to data we conducted surveys to gain insight on the level of adoption, understanding of cryptocurrency and the key competitors in our shortlist of countries.

Based on the findings of our research, data and the correlation between high inflation and Bitcoin adoption, we identified four countries that Ledn could potentially enter and prioritized one in particular - alongside providing our recommended go-to-market strategy, consisting of OOH, TV and online paid media.

The Result

Ledn leveraged our fintech experience to identify a key territory to confidently launch into with an inflation-focused campaign.. Since then, they have expanded into 11 Spanish speaking countries.
